Jeffery Epstein was found dead in his cell early Saturday Morning in an apparent suicide.
Epstein had been charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy after being arrested on July 6. He was being held without bail after pleading not guilty.
Epstein was found nearly unconscious last month in his cell with injuries to his neck. It was unknown whether Epstein attempted suicide or if the injuries had been inflicted by another inmate. Epstein was treated at a nearby hospital before returning to New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center and being placed on suicide watch.
His death comes a day after thousands of files have been unsealed revealing details of his abuse of young women.
