The Pennsylvanian Groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil and his shadow (or lack thereof) predicted an early spring this year. For the second year in a row, Phil is in agreement with Staten Island’s Chuck, that this winter won’t be a long one.
According to tradition, when a groundhog sees his shadow, winter will be a long one. In contrast, if no shadow is seen, spring will soon be approaching.
